One of the advantages of being in France is that everything is so close! Unlike Canada, where a 3 hour car ride barely gets you close to where you are going, a hour and a half car ride away from Toulouse is Andorra, nestled in the Pyrenees.
Before heading south in the morning to 'Pas De La Casa', to visit 'the largest duty free shop that is passing itself off as a town', Trish invited friends over for dinner.
On the menu.....home made sushi!
The mountains are so majestic, the camera does not do it justice.
Having arrived 'at the top', up, up, up, winding through the twisting roads and clouds, a steaming coffee and croissants beckoned....
......and the rows and rows of duty free pleasures awaited...
Our last day in Toulouse brought us to a dear friend's house for dinner, where the hospitality and food (and wine) was so welcoming....
Just loved the bread, so rustic |
When in Toulouse, eating Toulouse sausage is a must! |
....that not even the breathtaking view from the car to our next destination surpassed our fabulous evening...
Off to The Aveyron next...
