To me, everything in England is so quaint, including my aunt's 500 year old house in Somerset. With a thatched roof and traditional English garden, it is a charmer.
We enjoyed a tasty supper of braised beef and crispy jacket potatoes with broad beans, finishing off with rice pudding and damson plum compote. The rest of the evening was spent chatting away the hours.
Tomorrow; an antique car show boasting over 1,000 entries.
Phase two of the journey begins - looking forward to more pictures from England. Another car show you say, must be the season over there.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the most recent offerings Barb - A veritable trip down memory lane as Shirley knows. The food in England has improved by leaps and bounds for I still recall 5 shilling meals comprising one meat and two veg plus bake-well tart and custard but that surely dates me !
