NAMGAR GT-39

We spent a few days in Ottawa to meet up with fellow MGA enthusiasts.
We strapped the suitcase on and hit the road
A stop in Merrickville - we weren't the only ones in an old car
We were treated to a River Boat Cruise, passing all the sites
The theme of the evening was 'red & white'

The main event was the 'showing' of the cars

Our car was so special, we had to have the Mounties guard it!
Some people were very creative!

Imagine using a teapot as an 'overflow' receptacle!
I found time for an afternoon stroll along the river and met a friendly family

The evening was capped off with dinner at The Social in Byward Market
Seared tuna with coconut ice cream

Halibut on hominy
We met lots of friendly people from all over North America
and renewed old friendships.
It was a fabulous few days.

I think you need "Black" luggage, perhaps a slightly thinner bag so you can see out the rear window. I'm not sure but did coupes come with twin cam engines. I should have said "your". Did "your" MGA coupe have a twin cam ? Must be rare as most were convertibles

Nice that you all wore "red and white", should have been "red, white & blue" to be more patriotic and speak with a British accent all weekend. Nice weather you had

    1. If i brought another piece of luggage into the house, K would kill me! We have to make do with what we have.
Out of 101,000 MGA's that were built a little over 10,000 were coupes. Most of the MGA's built came to North America. No idea how many of coupes have survived but I suspect not that many, as they were a car that could actually be driven during the Winter because of better weather protection than the roadster could offer. Winter driving would have killed many of them off through the ravages of salt and sand on roads. Only 323 coupes were built with the twin cam engine. Rare indeed.
