Autumn at Atwater Market

I love outdoor markets, with one of my favourites being
The abundance of produce and confections
could be seen at every stall...

Colour, colour everywhere!

All ready for Halloween!

The french connection!
Trying to decide what cheeses to buy....such choices
 Fall blossoms at their brightest

Walking around the market made everyone hungry,
so we head out for brunch.
Off to Allo Mon Coco
Just loved the chandelier...it was made out of whisks!
The food was fabulous....
Waffles....
..and smoked salmon eggs benny....
A final family photo
Goodbye, Montreal...until next visit!

A Family Birthday Celebration

My youngest sister celebrated a milestone birthday, so this was a perfect opportunity to have a surprise party,
with the whole family gathering from all corners of the globe.

Each family member's arrival was a surprise,
so tears flowed with each new arrival.....
 and smiles abounded....
A superb spread of homemade food, all prepared by my niece
Most family gatherings revolve around food and this one did not disappoint...
Pulled Pork Poutine

Reuben with poutine
It was tough to choose our desert!
But a decision was finally made....
A visit with my Aunt from Belguim was a special treat
A trip to Atwater market up next.......

So much to be Thankful for

As I gaze out at my front lawn, I bask in the knowledge that I have been blessed
with wonderful friends, family and a full active life...
We surrounded ourselves with our friends and feasted for a few days!
Lunch started with a gooey grilled cheese....
followed by a warming pot of spicy chilli for dinner....
We gathered over fine wine to chat....
...but my cat, Tasha, would not leave VStar lady alone...
she was determined to lick her hair, making us all laugh!
Thanksgiving day, we put the bird in to roast and
headed down to the lake to admire the brilliant foliage

We worked up quite an appetite after our 3 km hike.....time to tuck into our feast!

Turkey, french green beans, maple carrots, sweet tater pie & sage stuffing!
The following day, we bid our friends good-bye and we treated ourselves to
Sunday Brunch at The Cavelier Room
Eggs Benedict Florentine
With all the tasty treats of the weekend making us feel sluggish,
a walk with the dogs was in order

...followed by a colourful tour in our 1957 MGA

I give thanks every day for all the blessings in my life......

Sailing away!

In our last lifetime, we were very avid sailors.
As members of the Port Credit Yacht Club.......
  ...we made life long friends.....
We strolled the docks.....
and spotted the boat belonging to 'Mike Holmes',
(of the TV show, Holmes Inspection).

A lunch break of local beer and a wonderful lamb burger...
In our early racing years, we had a C&C 29, just like this one...
...but our crowning glory was winning the club championship...
on a Danish-built X-102 we called "Great Dane".....
Such serenity!
Although we miss those days, life now is just as great!
